The villa is only a few minutes away from the main north area beaches, such as Es Canar, a spot that once was a cozy little fishing port and today is one of the major tourist areas in Ibiza. Besides its beach, a family beach of clear waters, you’ll find all kinds of tourist facilities and services. Here also takes place every summer Wednesday the biggest and most famous hippy market in Ibiza. Known as Punta Arabí market or Es Canar market.
Very nearby you can also enjoy Cala Nova beach, a very attractive beach right in between a juniper forest, with fine golden coloured sand and crystal clear water. This beach has preserved its natural environment.
Besides the two closest beaches, you can also visit other beaches at less than a 10 minute drive. Such as Cala Llenya, Cala Mastella, Cala Boix and Playa de Santa Eulària.
Who hasn’t ever heard of the markets of Ibiza. There are many different ones. And two of the most important ones are in the same area. On Wednesdays, Es Canar market, in Santa Eulària, and on Saturdays Las Dalias market, in Sant Carles.
Las Dalias hippy market is on every Saturday even during winter time. You’ll find it on the road from Ibiza to Sant Carles on kilometer 12. This market can reach more than 200 stalls and up to 20,000 visitors on a Saturday in August. In the market you can find Adlib fashion, jewelry, sandalwood, exotic musical instruments, ethnic music, decorative fabrics, figurines and statuettes, antiques, sarongs, books…
Then there’s the also famous Es Canar Market, which is bigger and it’s located at only 300 meters from Es Canar beach (Punta Arabí club). This market still keeps the Ibiza hippy essence. Every Wednesday from April to October this great open air bazaar is set up, where many stalls, more than 400, huddle under the shades of the pines, and the colourful mix of the people and of the objects shown continues to arouse great curiosity.
The Sant Carles area is especially known for its restaurants and cuisine styles. In this area you can find some of the most renowned typical Ibizan cuisine restaurants on the island. Ca’s Pagès, Balafia, Cana Pepeta, Fonda Pou des Lleó, Salvadó and Es Pins are just some of the most significant ones.
Besides traditional cuisine, in this area you can find all kinds of restaurants more focused on Mediterranean and marine cuisine. But as well you can also enjoy other kinds of international cuisine, such as Japanese, Asian, Indian, German and so on, in restaurants like Nagai, Atzaró Beach, Can Curreu, Cala Mastella, Sacca and Bambuddah Groove.
